PRIVACY POLICY
How we handle your information.
Effective July 22, 2026
This policy describes how Plan and Prosper LLC DBA Planning and Prospering handles information submitted through the Financial Empowerment Initiative website.
Information we collect
When you submit an inquiry, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, organization, program interest, audience, preferred timeframe, and message. We also receive information you choose to provide when contacting us directly. Program access codes may be used to control access to participant materials.
Our hosting systems may process technical information such as an IP address, browser information, and request details to deliver and secure the website. For abuse prevention, the site converts a network identifier into a one-way hash, counts requests within an hourly period, and removes those rate-limit records after approximately 48 hours.
How we use information
- Respond to inquiries and communicate about requested programs or services.
- Plan, deliver, support, and improve educational programs.
- Protect the website, participant materials, and program access.
- Prevent spam, automated abuse, and repeated unauthorized access attempts.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Submitting an inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to the Planning & Prospering newsletter.
Participant accounts and learning records
When you create a participant account, we may process your email address, name, program enrollments, lesson progress, workbook responses, resource views or downloads, access status, and certificates. Supabase provides participant authentication and stores these account records with row-level access controls.
Participants can access only their own learning records. Authorized program administrators may review enrollment status, progress, responses, resource activity, and certificates to operate and support the program. Access may be revoked individually when a registration ends or credentials are misused.
Storage and service providers
Inquiry information is stored using our website hosting infrastructure and is accessible to authorized administrators. Resend processes inquiry details to deliver email notifications to Planning & Prospering. Administrator sign-in is provided through ChatGPT authentication. These providers process information to perform services on our behalf and maintain their own security and privacy practices.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transaction.
Data retention and security
Inquiry records are ordinarily retained for up to 24 months from submission and are then automatically deleted, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for an active client relationship, legal compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or another legitimate business need. Rate-limit records are removed after approximately 48 hours. Program-access sessions expire automatically.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including restricted administrator access, encrypted web connections, request throttling, expiring participant sessions, and private-page caching controls. Protected workbooks require valid program access. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Please do not submit bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, detailed financial records, or other highly sensitive financial information through the inquiry form or participant pages.
Children’s privacy
The public inquiry form is intended for adults and organizational representatives. Children under 13 should not submit personal information through this website. Youth-program participation should be coordinated by a parent, legal guardian, school, church, or sponsoring organization. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
External and embedded services
This website links to or embeds independent services, including Planning & Prospering properties, FinSmarts Academy, Resend, Calendly, Stan, newsletter, journal, calculator, and hosting services. When you open or interact with those services, they may receive technical information and information you provide. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of inquiry information by contacting us. We may need to verify the request and may retain information when legally required or necessary for legitimate business records.
